An iso-wedding with a white dress and veil – and why not?

Another week, another lovely iso-wedding to warm the heart. We just can’t get enough of these gorgeous stories...

An iso-wedding with a white dress and veil – and why not?

From the white dress and veil to officially locking their love, these two totally made the best of a tricky situation. Hayley tells us all about it...

“After a lazy morning of cards, gifts, flowers and balloons, we got dressed up – why not?! I wore a white dress and the veil from my hen party while Ross rocked chinos and a shirt… although he did almost put on his kilt!

We set up our wedding reception pick ‘n’ mix table to nibble on then got a message from my brother to go downstairs. When we did, it was amazing!

My parents, brother, auntie, uncle, cousin and Ross’ parents (via FaceTime) were all (socially distanced) waiting for us. They’d brought loads of goodies, including an afternoon tea and a mini wedding cake made by my auntie. Perfect to tuck into with some champagne afterwards!

Later on, we walked down to the beach and ‘locked our love’ with a padlock featuring our original wedding date. And back home, we sobbed our way through our first dance, cut our wedding cake and sat back to reflect on the day.

It was all so emotional, but also lovely. And we just couldn’t thank our friends and family enough. Now it’s all about planning for 4 December when we’re officially Mr and Mrs!”
